The long-awaited and long-delayed trailer for ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ has been released by Sony Pictures.

The pandemic-delayed Ghostbusters: Afterlife has a brand-new trailer, which has been a long time coming for Ghostbusters fans.

A full-length trailer for THE sequel to 1989’s Ghostbusters II arrives little over four months after Paul Rudd was seen running afoul of small Sta-Puft Marshmallow men in a teaser.

Trevor and Phoebe are played by Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace, the grandkids of famed Ghosbuster Egon Spengler, who was played by Harold Ramis, the late series co-star and co-creator. In an old shot with Spenger, the original team, including Bill Murray’s Dr. Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd’s Dr. Raymond Stanz, and Ernie Hudson’s Winston Zeddemore, are depicted.

The youngsters adjust to their new existence after inheriting a “scary old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere.” “So you’re saying he didn’t leave us anything?” their mother, Carrie Coon, says Annie Potts, resuming her role as Janine Melnitz.

Janine teases, “I wouldn’t say anything.”

The kids are surprised to discover that their grandfather has given them the tools of his paranormal investigations and eliminations trade. Initially, “nerdy” Phoebe solves a floor problem to unveil one of his hallmark ghost traps. Later, Trevor takes a mothballed ECTO-1 under the hood and brings the first “Ghostbusters mobile” back to life.

It’s also just in time: spirits begin to emerge through a crack in the soil. The teenagers are soon back on the case, this time with some modern tweaks to the team’s original gear.

The teenagers also search up the original Ghostbusters on YouTube and call the number on the old TV commercial.

The trailer closes with Aykroyd declaring, “We’re closed,” as a phone is answered.

Murray, Aykroyd, and Hudson, as well as Sigourney Weaver, are all reprising their roles. The film Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be released on November 11th.
